Professional Constables & Process Service is a process server agency with a staff of experienced court process servers, a notary public, and a constable. We provide “fast, reliable, same day service” to the residents of Wareham, MA and New Bedford who need help with serving legal papers on parties involved in court cases.
We have over 13 years’ experience serving law firms, attorneys, landlords, and the Department of Revenue as well as average citizens who need legal documents served on parties involved in court cases.
We have a constable on staff. In Massachusetts, a constable is an officer of the peace appointed to serve civil process, perform minor judicial functions, and enforce capias arrest warrants. A constable is required to have extensive knowledge of civil law and the criminal law aspects that may arise from civil law violations.
We have a Massachusetts notary public on staff as well. A notary public is a public officer appointed by the governor. In Massachusetts, a notary public has the same authority as a district court judge in issuing a subpoena or summons. Notaries may issue subpoenas to order a person to produce evidence or appear to testify in a court matter. Notaries may take depositions and perpetuate testimony.
